Utilities & Trends
- Mobile Stats
- Increase year over year (views in Top Five Personas) 75,394 in Oct. 2022 vs. 135,217 in Oct. 2023
- Unique visitors haven’t changed much year over year. May mean each user is viewing more screens within the app.
- Spartan Safe has moved up slightly in the Top External Links KPI
- Web Stats
- Web site views increased from 249,065 in Oct. 2022 to 373,039 in Oct. 2023. (Not a clean comparison as it compares the old site with NGWP.)
- Looking at traffic to the Admissions page on the old site vs. Admissions.uncg.edu in NGWP traffic appears much stronger.
- Facebook and Instagram referral traffic have increased this month compared to the previous three months.
- Device type utilization moved from 85% desktop in Oct. 2022 to 69% accessing the site via desktop in Oct. 2023.
NGWP Updates
The analytics dashboard is now available across campus for those sites that have migrated to the NGWP theme. Statistics for some older sites that had the correct Google Analytics installed are also viewable in the dashboard. https://go.uncg.edu/centralwebanalytics/.
NGWP content team members for uncg.edu will be contacted in December regarding the site’s first content audit. Content team members will be provided with a worksheet to audit their content on uncg.edu. The content audit will begin in January and conclude by March 31, 2024. Sites to go through a content audit are those that launched in Dec. 2022: uncg.edu, chancellor.uncg.edu, provost.uncg.edu, research.uncg.edu, admissions.uncg.edu, policy.uncg.edu
Site migration to NGWP ends June 30, 2024.

- Link to Academic Portfolio Review on the Student and Graduate Student Personas on the mobile app is live. The innovation.uncg.edu site continues to be updated including a “Latest Information” page.
- Staff Senate has an Opt-In Channel in UNCG Mobile added and some training provided to help get information out to UNCG staff.
- Tile added to Student and Grad Student personas of UNCG Mobile app to link to Academic Portfolio Review FAQ on UNCG.edu/Current Students.
- NGWP Assets Bugfix: The event sort order has been corrected to sort on the event start date.
- NGWP Assets Bugfix: The Wrapper block pattern background has been corrected to repeat.
- NGWP Assets Update: Striped background patterns (white and gray) updated to appear crisper
- NGWP Assets Bugfix: Spotlight carousel block – font color and margins tweaked to improve the appearance of content

Other Updates
Final cleanup occurring on the migration of cloud-based UNCG sites from Flywheel to WPEngine. Less than five sites remain to be moved.

The Privacy Policy is matriculating to the Policy team for review. We expect the policy will be published soon.
