Update on readiness for new Legal Sex code of X (non-binary)
- Ellucian is developing a patch that will change the existing Legal Sex radio button group to a drop-down supported by a validation table to which the X code can be added. This should be applied in this summer’s patches.
- Student Data Mart and HR Data Mart are both currently accepting M, F, U, and N codes and Student Data Mart is prepared to accept the X code.
Definition creation and approval for new business term “Professional Track Faculty”
- Definition submitted:
  - Professional-track faculty members are engaged in instruction, inside and outside the classroom, and/or research, service, and administration. Professional-track faculty members are not eligible for tenure nor does any of the time that is spent in a professional track position count toward the probationary period for tenure.
- Population defined by certain E-Class codes in Banner, who are not indicated as tenure-track faculty.
- This request comes out of the Provost’s desire to refer to groups of individuals in the positive and “Professional Track Faculty” is intended to replace “Non-Tenure Track Faculty”.
  - Background research to determine if there is an existing documented definition of Non-Tenure Track Faculty which might just require the change of term rather than a new definition.
- Approval withheld for more research
Data Quality issue on Supervisors and separated employees showing in Microsoft Active Directory
- ITS has determined that there was a bug in the integration between Banner and Active Directory that has now been resolved.
- The committee still has interest in developing a definition of Supervisor for campus use.
Update on Name Data and Gender Data Standard Development
- Completed drafts are now in second round feedback which includes reviewers from General Counsel and Title IX.
