New Code Requests
- New Student Attribute for Pre-Health Studies major interest
  - Codes Requested

- New Student Attribute for HUDF Direct Access PhD/MS program
  - Code requested
    - Direct Entry Doctoral – DPHD
  - This code was approved.
- New Student Cohort codes requested for TRiO Program Student Tracking
  - Existing code of SSS tracks students in the original Student Support Services grant program. New cohort codes are required to track students in the SSS-STEM and Ronald E. McNair grant programs. Code requested are:
    - Special Support Services STEM program – SSS-STEM
    - Ronald E. McNair program – REM
  - These codes were approved
- New Student Attributes (7) and New Student Cohort (1) requested by International Programs Center
  - New codes are required to track students’ interest and participation in Study Abroad programs for better analysis of program effectiveness and timely student intervention as needed.

    - Outbound Semester Partner-based Study Abroad – OSPT
    - Outbound Semester Provider-based Study Abroad – OSPR

  - The above codes were approved.
Working Group Update – Student Attributes and Pre-majors
- The use of pre-majors to accommodate secondary admission processes causes issues with off-boarding students who do not achieve their secondary admission goals but have not decided on a new major. Pre-major programs are non-completion programs, meaning students must matriculate into a degree-earning major prior to graduation.
- Proposed solution:
  - Replacement of pre-majors with existing, baseline, degree-earning majors within each school and development of Student Attributes to indicate full-major interest.
  - Development of automated student attribute clean-up process that will clear the attribute values from student records in the event of a major change or achievement of a specified number of hours (60 for New Freshman started, 30 for New Transfer starters).
- The above solution has been submitted as an ITS Work Request for discovery and resource assignment.
Election of Data Stewards Chair for 2023-24 cycle
- Thanks to Johnny Lail for serving as the inaugural Chair for the 2022-23 cycle.
- From four nominees, Brian Wilson, Manager of the SpartanCard Center in Campus Enterprises has been elected as Chair for the 2023-24 cycle.
