Topic: Appointment of Data Governance Committee
Context: The newly appointed Data Governance Committee will bring together a cross-functional leadership team to create an interdependent, institutional framework for managing data. Data Governance Committee members will be authorized to make campus-wide rules and key decisions regarding the treatment of institutional data and empowered to enforce the Data Governance Program within their Data Domains.
Decision: Data Governance Committee members were appointed as follows:

Topic: Appointment of Data Stewards
Context: Data Stewards are individuals who have responsibility for managing individual sets of data. Today, there are many Data Stewards at UNCG who manage their data sets with a high degree of autonomy, and not within a well-established best practice institutional framework for data governance, because we don’t have one. The assigned UNCG Data Stewards will remain responsible for managing individual sets of data, but they will do so according to the policies and practices that are established in the Data Governance Program by the Data Governance Committee.
Decision: Data Stewards were appointed as follows:
